New York State residents can register to vote online through the New York State Board of Elections’ Online Voter Registration system
Online Voter Registration
The Online Voter Registration portal allows you to both register to vote and make updates to your existing voter record. Updates may include a change of name, address, or party affiliation. Once submitted, applications are forwarded to your local County Board of Elections for review and processing.
To complete your registration, you’ll need a NY.Gov ID. If you’ve previously used NY.Gov services, you can log in with your existing account. New users will need to create an account before accessing the portal
